Reading Steep Slopes, Not Books
Living Roofs, Inc’s construction team installed green roofs on both steep slope and flat roof areas over hot applied waterproofing. The steep slope green roof was installed using a structurally engineered cabling and soil retention system. Six inches of growing media and subsurface drip irrigation helps support a diverse mix of Sedum species. Installing these materials on a steep slope creates challenges for both safety and keeping materials from sliding during installation. The LRI crew worked efficiently with many months of planning to ensure the installation went as safe as possible. Pedestal-set concrete pavers were also installed by the construction team on various amenity terraces.
